Born in San Diego, California, but raised in Tijuana, Mexico, he began his studies in classical music during his childhood, specializing in classical guitar before quickly moving to the electric guitar.
This transition paved the way for him to explore effect pedals and move early into systems like Logic and sound synthesis. This, inevitably, led him to use hardware as a means of expression and to evolve in his rhythmic and melodic quest.
He currently uses only a Korg Electribe GrooveBox in which he explores the most daring possibilities of rhythm, harmony, and melody, thus making a concrete representation of his life as a musician, making him one of the most respected figures in the electronic scene on both sides of the border.
